New Azure customers get a $200 credit to use on Azure services within the first 30 days, free monthly amounts of more than 20 services for 12 months, and 65+ always-free services. Microsoft states you will not be charged unless you decide to move to pay-as-you-go; continuing beyond 30 days or after the credit is used requires that switch.
